With the AMD Athlon 64 processor and the VIA K8T800 HyperTransport technology chipset , the EP-8HDA3+ supports a seamless migration to 64-bit computing by offering unparalleled performance using either 32- or 64-bit operating systems. AMD64 architecture provides world-class performance on todays pervasive 32-bit applications and tomorrows 64-bit PC applications. Unlike other 64-bit processors, the AMD Athlon 64 processor is 32-bit compatible, and as such can utilize either 32- or 64-bit operating systems indiscriminately.
